Early in its life, Blackish used to record ADR at a small stage on the Disney lot, until that stage was closed and repurposed into a "review" theater. Knowing we'd now have to start shuttling the cast off the Disney lot to a local stage, all while fighting production and their own schedules, was going to be a nitemare. Thankfully Mobile Studio USA solved that problem for us. We rented the ADR trailer and had it parked right out in back of our main soundstage, right in basecamp. That solved so many problems for us. We could have the cast walk out to do ADR or VO in between setups and have them back on set before touch ups. The engineer was always only 10 min away, so last minute scheduling for added/changed lines on the day of the mix was no longer an issue. The quality was great for its size, including the soundproofing (the 134 was like a 1/4 mile away and we couldn't hear it). The only issue is that now I never want to do another show where we don't have ADR right at the set!
